Hondata S300 V3: What You Need to Know About the Best Add-in Module for OBD1 Honda ECU

These are standalone installers with the USB device drivers for Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 & 10. Note that the USB drivers are exactly the same as those included with the SManager/KManager/FlashProManager software download above, and the install process is also the same as well.

Hondata S300 V3 Download

There was a download of Hondata SManager s300 2.6.7 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. You can launch this free PC software on Windows XP/7/8/10/11 32-bit.

This free program is an intellectual property of Hondata, Inc. Hondata SManager s300 lies within Education Tools, more precisely Science Tools. The Hondata SManager s300 installer is commonly called SManager.exe.

The following versions: 2.3, 2.2 and 2.1 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. We cannot guarantee that the program is safe to download as it will be downloaded from the developer's website. Before launching the program, check it with any free antivirus software. Hondata SManager s300 is sometimes distributed under different names, such as "Hondata s300 ECU Editor", "Hondata SManager s300 ECU Editor".

SManager is a program for use with the s300 circuit board. SManager allows you to load, save and edit ECU calibrations, re-program your ECU, view ECU information in real time, and record & playback datalogs from your ECU.The s300 is a circuit board which fits inside the ECU. A slot is cut in the side of the ECU for the USB connector. The ECU uses different connector pins than the s100 & s200 (male pins vs a socket).

You may want to check out more software, such as Hondata FTDI USB Driver Fix, Hondata FlashPro Manager or Time Clock Attendance Manager, which might be similar to Hondata SManager s300.

The s300 has built in flash memory for datalogging with a laptop. The s300 has 16 mbit (2 mbytes) of memory, and can datalog from 20 to 60 minutes depending on datalogging speed. The s300 v2 and v3 have 32 mbit (4 mbytes) of memory, and can datalog from 20 to 120 minutes depending on datalogging speed and analog input options. The total number of datalogs is limited to 20 before the datalogs need to be download to a laptop or PC. Note: The flash memory has a write lifespan of at least 100,000 write cycles but it is not recommended to set datalogging on constantly.

To download a datalog select the recording and either use 'Download', which downloads the recording into SManager, or 'Save As...' which downloads the recording and saves to disk. Datalog recording downloaded into SManager can subsequently be saved to disk as well.

Garbage collection - in order to reduce flash memory wear garbage collection is not performed on deleted datalogs in the s300. Thus if anything but the last datalog is deleted, an unused gap will be left in the flash memory, and the memory capacity subsequently is reduced. Such gaps are automatically returned to available storage once the last datalog is deleted to form a contiguous memory block.

The s300 is made to fit in a full frame ECU case (US and most markets), so will not fit in a JDM ECU case.USB Connection:The s300 uses a high speed USB connection for both programming calibrations and datalogging. No more USB/serial connectors!Real-time Update:The s300 can be updated in real-time with the engine running without affecting the operation of the vehicle. This means that calibrations and changes can be uploaded to the ECU very quickly (2 seconds for a new calibration, a fraction of a second for anything else), without interrupting the operation of the engine. Changes made in the SManager software are uploaded to the ECU instantly and you can see the effect immediately. The s300 does not use an EEPROM or equivalent, so you never need to open the ECU to change chips nor 'burn' ROMs. No EPROM programmer is necessary - you just need a laptop with USB port.Note that this the only true real-time update available for Honda ECUs. Any portion of the ECU (including the whole ROM) may be quickly updated with the engine running, without the engine stalling or going into limp mode.Datalogging:The s300 has datalogging to the SManager software built in via the USB port. Using a laptop the various ECU sensors can be datalogged, viewed, graphed and saved for later analysis.Additionally the s300 has on board flash memory which allows a datalog recordings to be made without a laptop, for later access and download to a laptop. Multiple recordings can be made and stored in the s300 for a total of around 40 minutes of total datalogging time. An external switch can be used to start and stop recordings, or engine conditions can trigger recording. For instance in a drag race, the s300 can be set to start recording once the rpm is bought up to near launch rpm and automatically stop once past the traps and the rpm drops below a certain level.MAP Sensor Compatibility:Any linear MAP sensor can be used, using a scalar and offset to translate the MAP sensor characteristics into pressure. Popular MAP sensor settings are built in for ease of setup. To do this you will need the map sensor calibration numbers from the manufacturer of the sensor. For a trouble free installation, please take a look at the SpeedFactory 4 bar map sensor. 2ff7e9595c
