The dome-shaped store will be situated over water, connected to the luxurious resort with a walkway nestled amid palm trees. The site was previously occupied by night club Avalon.

Apple opened its first store here at Knightsbridge mall in Orchard Road in May 2017. At the time, it was also the first Apple store in South-east Asia. Last year, Apple opened its first store in Bangkok, Thailand - its second store in South-east Asia.
Their second branch was located in the Jewel Changi Airport, a mixed-use entertainment complex linked to the world-renowned Changi Airport. Another marvel, the store first opened on July 13, 2019, filled with staff who can reportedly speak 11 languages between them- including sign language, German, Italian, Malay, Mandarin, Hindi, and more.
Jewel houses both local and international brands. Anchor tenants include the largest Nike store in Southeast Asia,[43] the first and only Apple Store located inside an airport complex,[44] Marks & Spencer, Muji, Zara, Uniqlo, Singapore's second basement cinema operated by Shaw Theatres with 11 screens including an IMAX theatre with a seating capacity of 828 and Five Spice, a food court by Food Junction with 19 unique stalls and supermarket chain FairPrice Finest.[45] As of 2022, the Five Spice food court has been revamped into a Food Republic food court, as Food Junction was previously acquired by Food Republic.
